Today we started our day off with the Ignite program, then we had reading buddies with the grade 3s.
Then we took up our basic fact quiz and had a snack.
In LA we worked on literary devices - alliteration, onomatopoeia, simile, metaphor, and personification. We also we were working on our "about the author" section of our poetry anthology, by writing 4-different types of poems. We ended our morning with gym!
In the afternoon the students worked on their science project. In social studies we explored why we have a local government, how it makes money, and all the people and jobs involved at city hall to make a city run!
