“Wild” Weather Research
Task: Research a specific type of (extreme) weather.
Examples: hurricanes, drought, tornado, blizzard, typhoon, thunder storm, severe flooding etc.
Answer the following questions by creating at least one slide each!
1. Explain the conditions needed for your type of weather (what/ where/when)!
2. Describe the process of how the type of weather forms (how does it from in steps)!
3. How is this weather dangerous?
4. How can humans prevent or be safe in this weather?
5. Describe a historical example of your weather (e.g. Hurricane Katherina in 2005)
6. Glossary of terms (at least 5 specific words and definitions)
7. Bibliography page with all your links to text and web resources
Tips for a great slideshow
■ Include a Title Page & Table of Contents
■ Each slide should have at least 2 pictures
■ Weather maps or other diagrams
■ Captions (titles for pictures and graphs)
■ 1-3 short texts ( with 3-5 sentences max)
