Today we started off with some reading and class items / issues to go over.  Then we went for our walk to prep for the Terry Fox Run. 

For LA we talked about hyperbole and other literary terms to use in fingerprint poem.  We had some with similes making fun of Mr. Shackelton with them. 

For math we took up the place value sheet we were working on last week.  Tomorrow we are going to work on some basic skills before doing a pre-year school year assessment to see where the class is at. 

In social we continued working on shield, due date yet to be determined. 

After our mindfulness (daily calm) and recess, we started our first spelling list!! Week1's list is posted on the previous blog post. They are literary terms.  Tomorrow we will be doing the definitions of them and writing an example of them. 

Please practice the spelling words if you can nightly with your students.
