Reminders
1. Bring forms back signed tomorrow! They have all been correctly sent home this time ... sorry about that!
Today we did catch up / reading before gym. During gym we went on a walk to get ready for the Terry Fox Run.
In math we learned more about what is a decimal number and the place value holders for them.
In LA we continued to work on our fingerprint poems and tried to incorporate some literary devices into them: similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia, alliterations, and personifications
In social we continued with our identity crests project.
In science we explored what we know as a class about trees and forests already, what we want to know, and questions we have about them. Then we learned about 4 types of forests; boreal, temperate, tropical and subalpine. We also started learning about the layers of all forests; emergent layer, the canopy, the understory and the forest floor.
