Thank you to all those who wore orange today to support the Orange Shirt Day movement.

We started off with Ignite as per Monday, then we had our Orange Shirt Day presentation.

We kicked off our day on mathletics as we missed it last Friday.  It gave students who were away to complete the quiz before we marked it.

Then we marked the math test together, we learned we need to work more with number lines in our decimal unit.

After that I printed off the spelling words and went over this week's expectations for them, for the sentences to be definitions.

Once gym ended the students had science with Mr. Mueller, then social with me.  In social we read about decisions, and why we have/need a government.  Our main focus today was how to summarize notes.  I printed off 2 chapters worth of summaries and we highlighted what was important for unit tests and projects.  Then we just read the highlights,  and a lot of "lights turned on" about how it was helpful to review your notes with a highlighter or pen to synthesize information.

We hope everyone has a Maverick Monday!
