Care for Others: Sloane - This school year Sloane was the embodiment of care for others. She always helps and accepts all her peers, and makes the room more welcoming.
Care for Learning: Carman - She was the top student of the year and has a real thirst for knowledge. Keep growing and learning.
Care for Place: Rilley - Riley is a kind, caring student in all manners. He constantly made sure our classroom was running smoothly. Whether it was getting me copies or putting away laptops he always cared for room 19.
Care for Self: Chance - Chance always looks out for number 1, and that is an important quality in life.

Students will get 2hrs + 2hrs of extra time to do a 50 multiple choice question. 9am - 11am + 2 extra hours.
Bring a water bottle tomorrow and some snacks. Parent council will have some snacks to start the day.
Only 13 students asked for exam study guides / reviews for the all the units. I didn't print them for everyone because I didn't want to waste the ink for like 500+ pages.
Grade 6 farewell is this Friday at 10:30am in the gym. Please arrive by 10:15am to be seated.

Today we worked on our Iroquois Confederacy study guide. Then we read, had music, gym, snack, and recess. After those we finally start ratios and rates in math. Then we had a class meeting about exams and any questions the students had. After lunch, recess, and mindfulness we ended the day with doing commonlits to help study for the ELA exam.

Today we read to start to the day. Then we had the JA program come. They were AMAZING! The students all bought in and tried their best to build their business for this summer! I hope some turn out.
After that we did kickball outside to end the day.

Today we did a science forensics scavenger hunt to start out day. Then we talked about the school wide smudge and set our summer intentions for it. We went to the library and got new books and read. After that we did equivalent fractions and percent. Ratios will be Monday now ( I forgot about that tiny part of fractions).
In social we did some textbook Q and A about the Iroquois Confederacy. In gym we did belly ball, as it was student choice.
In the afternoon we had lunch, recess, mindfulness, the school-wide smudge, and then we did 1 common lit quiz and 1 mathletic quiz to end the day.

Today we worked on fractions, and ratios! We will be diving into ratios full tilt tomorrow.
It was our last day for lacrosse in gym. In social studies were learned about the Great Law of Peace.
In science we learned about the types of fingerprints and identity markers then we did our own and labelled them.
In LA we did common lit readings and questions to get ready for Tuesday's exam. After those 2 readings and questions with them, we did 2 Mathletics quizzes on ratios to preview for tomorrow.

Today we did our year review of math and worked on fractions in Mathletics. After music, reading, and some excellent lacrosse games we learned a lot of about evidence and investigation. We explored how to make observations, inferences and testable hypotheses with crime scenes. In social we continued to learn about the structure of the Iroquois Confederacy.

It went by very very fast as we are and will be super busy until the end of exams!
